    WDA Lenormand Summit 2025

While I knew that the WDA Lenormand Summit was taking place last weekend, I didn’t plan on attending because I’m not very good with my Lenormand decks. However, my plans for the weekend came adrift and about five minutes before the Summit was about to start, I paid my ticket fee and was speedily added to the group by the vigilant Jane Matthews.

Toni Savoury kicked off the event, setting the scene for what was to follow over the next 2 days. There were lots of hand-outs to download, so I quickly got myself sorted out – and found myself a lovely deck to use (Alexander Daniloff’s Orient Lenormand) from my embarassingly large Lenormand collection.

Now, Lenormand might not be my bag – yet – but I certainly DO know a lot of the Big Names associated with this little European deck. And they were all presenting at the Summit – from organisers Toni and Jane to Donnaleigh and Rana George, with liberal dollops of Serge Pirotte, Bjorn Meuris, Malkiel Dietrich and so many more. In fact, to actually name this lot feels like I am doing a disservice to the others whom I haven’t mentioned – so here’s a full list of the speakers from last weekend.

Many of them I have encountered before either by watching their YouTube channels, being colleagues in the divination world, or via their books and decks.

    The List of Speakers

The sessions that I enjoyed the most (and please bear in mind that I still have NINE to catch up on thanks to the replay facility on the FB lives) were …. Toni’s breakout session on the Sunday where we all got to try reading a box spread (yeah, even me!), Donnaleigh’s session on what health and wellbeing issues the various cards might indicate, Malkiel’s session on card combos for specific toxic relationships and V Von Schweetz ‘Confidence’ session. And Jane’s session that involved numerology. And Paris DeBono’s session that involved BEANS. And Serge’s session. And Rana George read a GT live! And …well, you get the idea. I pretty much enjoyed everything – and still got plenty more to watch!

Me, mug of tea and Toni kicking off the Summit.

There were some tech issues – when is there NOT some kind of snafu in live broadcasting though!? But they were quickly straightened out with good grace from everyone.

Conferences are long days – but the advantage of an online event is that you can go and grab yourself a coffee or go a walk and catch up when you get back feeling revitalised. Have you ever sat behind someone at a real life conference who started snoring?! I have lol! Thankfully, the Lenormand Summit videos will be there on Facebook for me to catch up for around 20 days (at time of writing – eventually FB will remove the content).

The WDA Conferences are always extremely well-organised – handouts were all in place, everyone was added to the group (even me, a few minutes before kick off!), there were discounts available on WDA training courses and lots of opportunities to share links and be sociable.

My ticket was (I think) £135.00 – which included a year’s membership of the WDA (worth £20), so I got access to 22 sessions … which breaks back to about £5 per session. AND an opportunity to watch back the sessions as many times as I like before the fb live time limit removes them.

An unexpected effect of the Summit is that I feel quite energised again to work with my divination decks – so thank you for that, everybody!

Summary – a very well-organised summit, with a great mix of well-known and new-to-me speakers. One or two tech issues that were confidently dealt with. Good value for money and would definitely encourage you if you are thinking about going to future Summits. I have two recommendations: Firstly, don’t be anxious about your own level of ability (I have next to nil ability and still enjoyed it very much and learned a LOT). Secondly, take the time to enjoy the sessions by folks you might not be familiar with!

Leaving you with proof of my Lennie collection – my Winter Project is to start using these decks.

    The collection!

What about you? Were you there? Do you have Conference recommendations to share?

  • Court Card Guardians for Putin and Zelenskyy

In my last blog post I shared the Major Arcana birth cards for the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine. We saw that Putin is governed by 16 The Tower and that Zelenskiyy is governed by 6 The Lovers. When I looked at the Majors who would go on to be their companion cards through 2022, I was surprised to see that they were both served by 14 Temperance. However, it’s important to note that they both reach Temperance by a different route!

Since this is a blog about court cards, I also looked at the birth court cards for Putin and Zelenskiyy. For Putin, that Tower card morphs into the King of Wands and for the Ukrainian President, The Lovers translates as the Knight of Cups.

    Putin’s cards

When we look at The Tower and the King of Wands, it feels very noisy, energetic and very destructive. The King of Wands is usually a character that I feel very warmly about, but as the invader of another sovereign state, I am inclined to focus on the King’s less attractive traits. I freely acknowledge that all the things that make me usually love the King of Wands; his glamorous, expansive, charismatic and passionate personality – are probably what endear him to the Russian people that support him. But such a fiery person burns for only what can be achieved by (and for!) himself alone – burning bright, setting a torch to everything that comes into contact with him, toppling the edifice. But he also illuminates himself so that all the world may see him. And while he hopes that they see a noble and heroic warrior (shirtless, riding a bear or whatever the hell it was) what the world actually sees is someone consumed by their own ego, ambition and actions. Someone prepared to turn a country into a burned out wasteland. The King of Wands is not a natural team player; this is leadership through assertion at best and aggression at worst.

Zelenskyy’s Knight of Cups and The Lovers feels like an appropriate pairing too – but in a different and less frenetic way. While The Lovers feels like choices being made, the Knight of Cups has made his choice and rides off into the sunset with his bride. In this case, his country. The Knight of Cups is always a character who looks like he’s on a quest by love and for love. Let’s face it, the entire world is a wee bit in love with Zelenskyy. Of course, that motorbike will be noisy too – we just have to hope that someone switches off Putin’s amplifiers lol!

    Zelenskyy’s cards

Now, both Presidents will have the same Guardian card for 2022, but how well do their birth cards sit with this year’s model? With a total of 14 giving us Temperance as the Major Arcana card, we can look at the table of court card number allocations and see that The King of Cups is numbered 14.

As a guardian for 2022, the King of Cups shows us that this is a year for diplomacy, for leadership through empathetic understanding. Hmmm which leader do you think will be more attuned to that? How do the Presidential birth courts look next to their year card?

Zelenskyy’s birth guardian and 2022 guardian

No idea what is going on with this photo. Have tried to rotate it a billion times.

For Putin, the King of Wands must learn to act in a King of Cups manner for the year card to work in his favour. That assertive aggressiveness of the Wands’ King needs to be tempered (oh, there’s that Temperance reference again!) into the heart-led qualities of the King of Cups. Which I don’t feel is very likely at all, do you?

Putin’s birth guardian and 2022 guardian

For Ukraine’s Zelenskyy, his Knight of Cups birth card matures into the King of Cups, his Airy Knight nature which could feed so much of the King of Wands fire is transmuted into fire itself – but not the all consuming, all devouring passion of the King of Wands. Instead he becomes a leader whose strengths are in sympathy with his birth card energies – he cares about other people and that’s not going to change at all. But Zelenskyy will grow to be a strong adversary to Putin.

The battle itself may show Putin’s strength, but the battle for hearts and minds is most definitely won by Zelenskyy.

    What do you think?

  • President Putin and President Zelenskyy | Birth Cards | Year Cards

President Putin and President Zelenskyy | Birth Cards | Year Cards

It’s been an awful week where the much-dreaded invasion of Ukraine by Russian Federation forces began and the world looks on in horror. This is not a blog discussing the rights or wrongs of either side, but a look at the birth cards and year cards of the two Presidents involved.

Today I’m looking their Major Arcana birth cards and also their Year cards and I’ll be really interested to know what your take-away is for them.

President Putin’s date of birth is 7 October 1952. When we add these digits together we get 7+10+19+52 = 88. Since we have no Major Arcana card 88, we must add the two digits together, giving 16. Putin’s Major Arcana birth card is The Tower.

    The Tower
    ©Alexander Daniloff

President Zelenskyy’s date of birth is 25 January 1978. Adding his digits together, we get 25+1+19+78 = 123. As with Putin, we need to add these digits together one more time to find his Major Arcana card, which gives us 6. So, Zelenskyy’s birth card is The Lovers.

    The Lovers
    Alexander Daniloff

I feel that to elaborate further on either card would show my biases in the conflict, but as a tarotist yourself, you can clearly see that where Zelenskyy’s Major is about making choices for the best long term outcome and love, Putin’s card is about destruction and getting rid of old boundaries.

So now let’s look at what their cards are for 2022. Putin’s birth day and month together with this year (7/10/2022) give us 59, which in turn gives us 14 Temperance. Zelenskyy’s card for this year is calculated the same way (25/1/2022). This adds up to 68, which in turn gives us …… 14 Temperance.

Both Presidents have Temperance as their 2022 Year Card!

    Temperance
    ©Alexander Daniloff

Going straight to A E Waite’s Pictorial Key (because I am not unbiased in this reading, I am rooting for the President of Ukraine, not Putin) he says that Temperance is about: Economy, moderation, frugality, management, accommodation. And that’s accommodation in the form of compromise 🙂

But both of them reach it by different routes – Putin by 5 and 9 and Zelenskyy by 6 and 8. For Putin this means the Hierophant and Hermit and for Zelenskyy The Lovers and Strength/Justice (depending what kind of deck you use). Either card works for me for Zelenskyy!

What do you think these cards say about both leaders? Which leader will cope best with the concepts of Temperance this year? What do you make of Putin’s birth number being two 8s and Zelenskyy’s being a run of 123?

I’ve worked out their court cards too – more of which tomorrow.

May the the angel of Temperance watch over the peoples of Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

  • Bianco Nero Tarot | Deck Review

The first time I saw the Bianco Nero Tarot ‘in the wild’ was on a facebook post by Serge Pirotte. Immediately smitten by this monochrome deck, I messaged my son with a link to the deck and asked him to get it for me for Christmas. Which he did!

The deck was published by US Games Systems Ltd in 2018 and the artwork is by Marco Proietto with the Little White Book (LWB) by Arwen Lynch.

Let’s take a quick look at the LWB which is 62 pages long and which provides keywords and interpretations for each card and a spread for the deck with a worked example.

Each card is presented with keywords for rightsides and reversed work and a paragraph that taps into the imagery of each card (about 80 words or thereabouts). It’s a comprehensive LWB which you would expect from someone with Lynch’s experience.

Moving on to the cards, we have a 78-card monochrome deck that draws deeply from the artwork of the Rider Waite Smith (RWS) deck with the odd splash from the more ancient Visconti Tarot. Being rooted in the RWS is in no way a criticism – it makes the deck immediately accessible to anyone familiar with that deck. The RWS, previously under copyright to US Games, is now out of copyright and every man and his dog is bringing out their own version of it, so why shouldn’t US Games bring out a different, stylish RWS-inspired deck too?

The artwork is in the style of antique engravings – the work and woodcuts of Doré and Dürer have inspired the artist – and it makes for a nice, clean, graphic deck.

Each card has its number at the top (Roman numerals throughout) and name at the bottom (suit name, in the case of the Minors). This is a deck with Strength at VIII and Justice at XI. The cards are a standard tarot size and the card stock is nice and slippy for easy shuffling and the card back design allows for reversals.

selection of cards from Bianca Nero Tarot
Cards showing similarities and differences to RWS deck

Of course, being obsessed with the Court Cards, I’ll mostly be talking about them.

The suits remain the traditional Cups, Pentacles, Swords and Wands and the court card ranks of Page, Knight, Queen and King are retained.

Looking first at the Pages, each card consists of a solo young man wrapped in robes or belted at the waist with the symbol of their suit. The backgrounds are as you would expect – pyramids for the Page of Wands, ploughed fields for the Page of Pentacles etc. The Page of Cups even has the same frilly head-gear as he does in the RWS, but in this deck he does not look at the fish in his Cup, but rather at us, from the corner of his eyes. This is one of the small changes that adds a dash of something-new to the familiar RWS classic tarot.

Page cards from The Bianco Nero Tarot
    Pages |Bianco Nero Tarot

The Knights are fabulously RWS with everyone and their warhorse doing exactly what you would expect in exactly the landscape that you would expect. These guys are the court cards who are most like their original counterparts.

    Bianco Nero Knights

The Queens are all quite low-cut robe kinda gals. In fact, if the Queen of Wands (who is seated modestly with her legs crossed a la Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct) stands up, she’ll be naked from the waist down! Which kind of fits the ‘passion/sexy’ aspect of this character’s persona. The Queen of Cups sits on a windy shore, her hair whipping around her face and looking pensively out to sea – there’s a King Canute feeling to this one. The Queen of Swords sports a crown of butterflies. And yes, the little hare in the RWS Queen of Pentacles can be found in the Bianco Nero Queen card too, sitting in the shade of her throne.

Almost all the female forms in this deck are slender, depicted with a shoulder exposed, shoulder straps slipping, ribbons of fabric covering their bust or hips et – but no actual exposed boobs if that’s a concern to you, I hasten to add. I wasn’t surprised to read that Marco has studied the human form in life drawing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, his love of figure drawing is clear in this deck!

    Queens | Bianco Nero Tarot

The Kings are again easily recognisable thanks to good use of RWS symbolism employed in new ways – the little salamander from the RWS King of Wands clings to the side of the Bianco Nero King’s throne, just beneath the lion that the king absent-mindedly strokes. The jolly little boat in the RWS King of Cups becomes a magnificent fully rigged clipper, heading straight for the rocks! As with the Pages and Queens, the Kings are all decked out in flowing robes or cloaks that cover their modesty – except the King of Pentacles who is entirely swathed.

    Kings | Bianco Nero Tarot

I really like this deck – it’s very easy to read with thanks to those Rider Waite Smith roots and the LWB that comes with it. However, although the artwork is very RWS in orientation, it IS different enough to keep things interesting and allow you to interpret the cards in a different way to the RWS, especially those courts.

Who would love it? Anyone who loves their RWS would like working with this deck. If you are a learner looking to branch out into a new deck, but still feel confident – this is for you. If you are a collector looking for a monochrome deck that you can actually use, rather than have it lie on a shelf and grow dust-bunnies, this is for you too.

I’d be interested to know what you think about it if you have it in your collection!

In the UK, like the deck, but don’t want to buy it from that big river place? Try here on bookshop.org. This is an affiliate link and I get a shekel if you buy it there.

  • Reading Fortune Telling Cards | Gypsy Witch Cards | Fabio Vinago

    Reading Fortune Telling Cards
    by Fabio Vinago

I have tried so hard to get to grips with The Gypsy Witch deck (US Games Systems Ltd) I really have. I took a beginner’s course last year with Brant Williams via the WDA which certainly got me off the blocks, but I still couldn’t read with any degree of competency. Sure, I would look at worked examples and say: ‘oh yeah, that makes sense’ but as soon as I laid down a combination of cards on my own, I was immediately befuddled as to what I might say. And let’s face it, the LWB leaflet for the deck is not the most enlightening!

When US Games announced that there was to be a new book on the Gypsy Witch called ‘Reading Fortune Telling Cards’, I was beyond excited and immediately threw my money at the pre-order button at Amazon – this would be my big opportunity to gel with the deck at last!

Note: If you don’t have the Gypsy Witch cards, there is also a book and deck set available too (links below).

As with all things at the moment, the book’s release in the UK was well behind that of our American cousins and I simply had to cool my heels for a few weeks as I waited impatiently for the day the book arrived … and Reader, that day dawned last week! I’ve now devoured the little black book and am ready to review!

The book is 17.5cm tall and 12.5cm wide and comes in at a slender 125 pages. The book was written by Fabio Vinago and originally published in his native Dutch. A special nod of thanks should be given to Ruth Gistelinck for translating Vinago’s words into English that is nice and natural to read.

I have not heard of Fabio Vinago and since the strap-line for this book is a ‘Romani’ approach to reading’ the cards, I assumed that he was Romani himself. However, on reading through the book, he makes no claims to this at all. At one point he says ‘In my experience, their way of reading the cards gives very accurate and detailed interpretations’. So, I’m taking it that Fabio is not Romani, but an interested observer with experience of Romani card-reading. This is not in any way a criticism, but just a heads-up in case folks assume that every secret of this deck will be laid out for us with the full inside-skinny from a bona fide Roma reader.

And on that note, let’s dive in to the book’s contents: There are a few pages devoted to Romani culture, and here there are a couple of important nuggets of information, so read slowly folks! Vinago comments on the fact that the fortune telling cards are NOT the Lenormand deck, even though there are many similar cards found in both systems. This is why the playing card insets on the GW are not the same as Lenormand; why would they be? It’s a completely different system and the Romani do things their own way!

The next section includes an outline of the cards, their suits and their meanings. Vinago expands upon the brief paragraph printed on each card and also includes some keywords to help you remember what the card means. He also includes a short section on how to work with the Joker card too – which I found useful.

The third section covers different types of spreads and how to read them – starting small (past, present and future) and ending with the massive Gypsy Witch Cards’ Grand Tableau, which takes many pages to explain in itself and will take me a LONG time to gain competency with! A query that I have about the GGT is in the diagonals; some diagonals are not included in the list of diagonal cards (for example, p84 – why are 11 and 5 not counted as a diagonal?). I need to know why 😀

Although the book doesn’t say a lot about what each playing card reference might mean or why they are allocated to particular cards, there is a comprehensive section on the face cards (Knight, Queen and King) and how to incorporate them into your reading.

The final section contains different card combinations that hold significance. In other words, this is not every combination of every card, but those that could be picked out as meaning something specific – eg The Sun and Fox – you find out who you can and cannot trust.

The book concludes with a list of suggested Dos and Don’ts – including: never talk about death, stay loyal and kind, take your time, don’t read card when you are not feeling well.

In conclusion, what do I think of the book?

I think I had such high hopes for this book that it was inevitable that I am left feeling slightly deflated. And yet I struggle to really put my finger on why that is the case – the book is full of good information and spreads. And yet. Maybe I was hoping for EVERYTHING that I struggled with to be included – namely the playing card inserts. Vinago says that the playing card insert suits can be used to help establish what else is at play in a reading. For example – a love question with many Diamond cards in the answer might signify money concerns. But I read that the 9 of Spades ‘speaks of overspending’ and I am left flicking through the book muttering ‘where, WHERE does it say that?’.

On the whole though, this is a useful book if you want to work better with the Gypsy Witch fortune telling cards. It doesn’t have all the answers, but then, maybe that’s part of the joy of working with these cards – you don’t need all the answers to be able to work with them.

I may update this review as I attempt to become more competent with the GW cards with help from Vinago’s book.

You can buy the book HERE which is my affiliate link at bookshop.org – an ethical online storefront that supports local bookshops too! Fancy the book/deck set? HERE is the link at bookshop.org for that too.

Stag and Archer from the Wildwood Tarot

This year, the Spring (or Vernal) Equinox takes place on Saturday 20 March and marks the welcome return of astronomical Spring to our chilly climes.

It’s often said that the Spring Equinox is when we have days and nights of roughly equal length, but the truth is, that depends on where you are in the world and how close you are to the equator. In reality, the Vernal Equinox is when the sun appears to cross the Equator from the south to the north – bringing with it our Spring and Summer seasons.

To find out when days and nights will be of equal length for you, you need to know your current latitude and then click on this handy page to check the table to see when is the closest day of balance for you.

It’s easy to find out what latitude you are at by using our old friend google and typing in your current location and ‘latitude’ and up it will come. Rothesay in Scotland is 55 degrees north. When I click on the above link, there is a table that shows me the best approximation for the day when darkness and light draw approximately even, for the Spring Equinox and then when the hours of darkness draw even with the hours of light at the Autumn Equinox. So, bung them in your diary!

If you are studying along with the Wildwood Tarot folks on instagram or facebook for a whole year of focussing on the cards of this deck as and when they arise on the Wheel of the Year, we will be supported by Stag and Archer in the Northern Hemisphere. Remember, if you are taking part, use the #wwtstudy so that we can find your posts easily!

Of course, for our cousins south of the Equator, we are approaching the Autumnal Equinox and the support will be from Wheel and Mirror as the days grow shorter down under.

  • Total Tarot| New Magazine

    Total Tarot| New Magazine

You may already be familiar with The Esotoracle (UK-based) and The Cartomancer (US-based) magazines but there is a new Tarot mag kid in town, Total Tarot.

What sets Total Tarot apart from the other two marvellous magazines is that it has exclusive links with the well-known publishing house, Lo Scarabeo.

    Details of Delivery 1

The magazine is a marriage between Byline Publishing in London and the Italian publishers Lo Scarabeo and the first edition of their glossy mag became available in October 2020.

I believe that the magazine may only be available to UK- residents at the moment, (I need to double-check that) but perhaps it will be rolled out in the USA with a local publisher there too?

To have such close links with an established publishing house is very interesting. On one hand, this means that every issue of the magazine comes with a full Lo Scarabeo deck, which is AMAZING … but on the other, it might mean that content is limited to the confines of one publisher.

However, this is not a magazine that is intended to go on forever. There will be a finite number of issues of Total Tarot – very appropriately, 78 issues will be published.

There are a variety of subscription levels that you can sign up for – and you’ll want to sign up for at least one of them if you intend to collect all 78 cards of the Golden Art Nouveau Tarot which will be released piece-meal across the magazines 78 issues.

I confess that I find the different ‘Delivery’ options a bit confusing, but if you love the full Lo Scarabeo decks and marvellous freebies that are included with each issue, then this is a fun way to get hooked on collecting decks!

Have you signed up for this? I’d love to hear from you if you have!

  • Sharing Images on Instagram?

    Sharing Images on Instagram?

The other day I spotted that a new Tarot deck was in the making from those fine folks at Three Trees Tarot and I gleefully reposted their lovely image of the cards being painted, on Instagram.

Unfortunately, when the image shared to my instagram feed, there was no attribution to the original photographer! I immediately added their details in the comments, but still, I felt quite uncomfortable about having shared their image without acknowledging that they had created it.

That got me thinking? How many of us unthinkingly share fabulous content on Facebook or Instagram without attributing the original artist or creator And what does it mean when we do? And if it’s YOUR content being reshared – how do you feel?

First up, I would recommend that if you enjoy sharing content from other creators, that you get yourself some kind of ‘resharing’ app to help you do this properly. I use ‘reshare for instagram’, but there are other resharing apps available.

With this app, I can find an image that I want to share and then share it to the app itself. I am then given the choice of where the content creator’s attribution can be slotted on the image, what kind of colouring it might have, and the option to take the entire content of the original accompanying post and drop it into my own post about the image.

7 of Swords. A young man runs away from an army encampment holding five swords with two swords falling at his feet.
See how I added the creator’s copyright to the card?
Took only moments in Preview on the Mac.

You might think that people who are influencers would be delighted to have their image shared, and mostly they ARE, as long as it hasn’t been repurposed for another use without their permission. And they will be FURIOUS if you are pretending to be THEM or stocking their goods – that’s a sure fire way to get your instagram presence deleted.

For example – my sharing of the tarot deck creation was fine because I was promoting their work and (hopefully!) getting the information out to some folks who maybe hadn’t heard of them. It would be an entirely different thing if I took their photograph and then wrote an instagram post about the joys of painting in watercolours, or worse, pretending that *I* was creating the deck.

I would recommend that if you want to reshare an image, without changing the purpose of that image or repurposing it, a resharing app will keep you right.

If you see a fantastic image that you know would work perfectly for something that you were wanting to write about, get in touch with the image creator and ask for permission. Apparently over 65% of instagram content creators will respond with a YES within about 15 minutes … but they may have UGCA which they’ll require you adhere to.

What is a UGCA? A User Generated Content Agreement will set out the terms and conditions for you to be able to reuse that particular image. It may also include prohibitions (ie content that the creator does not want their image associated with). I bet you there are templates out there on the intertubes that you can freely use (but double check that it’s FREE for you to use, of course lol!)

So the second thing that I would recommend – especially if you seek to repurpose the image – is to get permission from the content creator.

I’ll be honest, I don’t always get it right myself.

For example, I created some content that used an image that I found on the internet, with no attribution to be found. I posted the image and lo! I was very quickly brought up to speed with just who had created the main component in my image. Immediate apologies and the addition of the original creator sorted that one out, but rest assured, I’ll NEVER do that again! I have since discovered that searching on tin-eye can be very helpful in finding the original location of an image before you share an image to instagram (or any other social network).

So, if YOU are someone who creates content for instagram, here’s what I recommend (but hey, I’m not a lawyer – so bear that in mind too please!):

1 Put some kind of watermark on your own images before you load them up – there are apps that can help you with that.

2 Create a UGCA of your own. It needn’t be much, but you could add it to your website and add the link to your link-aggregator on instagram (eg linktr.ee)

3 Want to share someone else’s artwork? Use a resharing app and make sure that the original content creator is properly credited.

4 Want to repurpose someone else’s artwork to help with your own sales etc? Get permission – it could just be a direct message with a confirmation reply. That’s good enough for Instagram. Pay attention to the terms of any UGCA that the originator might require you to stick to.

5 Can’t find the original owner – use Tin Eye. Still can’t find them? Don’t use it. Nothing comes close to the horrendous sick feeling you’ll have when a legally enforceable email drops into your inbox with demand for payment for image use. Don’t think it really happens? Look HERE for a horror story.

If you are a content creator on instagram and have other recommendations or insights, I’d love it if you could share your advice in the comments and I’ll add your suggestions into the blog post.

I made images for all the Court Cards in the Ethereal Visions Tarot. Gosh, that’s a BIG JOB lol! Each image was scanned, so the black borders that you see here are actually a gorgeous gold when you see the cards in the flesh. A very pretty deck that you can buy from creator Matt Hughs HERE.

    Tarotverband Interview

I was interviewed by the lovely Kirsten Buchholzer from Tarotverband in Germany on facebook live – talking about court cards, counterfeit tarot decks and TABI and whatever else cropped up. Click on the image to visit the video.

    The Brady Tarot
    Emi Brady & Rachel Pollack

So, this was the other set of Court Cards that I looked at in June – the North American nature-orientated stunner that is The Brady Tarot. Art by Emi Brady and words by Rachel Pollack.

    The Ellada Oracle
    Alexander Daniloff

TABI bought 10 copies of this beautiful Lenormand deck from Alexander Daniloff. He’s been very busy during lockdown in Italy and this little oracle is the result. Five of the decks were snapped up right away, but if you are a TABI member and fancy saving yourself a cool Tenner on the cost of this deck, spirit yourself to the forum and THIS thread and bag yourself one!

    The Esotoracle Magazine

I wrote an article at the beginning of the year for a new divination magazine printed in the UK called The Esotoracle. The article is about piracy and fake Tarot decks and how the creative impulse within the industry that we love is being snuffed out because folks are buying counterfeit decks. You can buy an e-copy of the mag HERE This image below was created by Editor Steven Bright, to illustrate the article.

There was quite a bit more – some Marseille deck interpretations … rather too many images of Tunnocks Teacakes than is comfortable …. other oracles that I’m enjoying getting to grips with …. a wee advert for the WDA Conference that I spoke at at the end of May (with 44 other folks!) you can buy access to that weekend worth of videos from WDA HERE
